Cornel Perian is an American artist of Romanian origin.
In the 70's, he attended the Sculpture classes of The Romanian Popular Art School,
under the guidance of the prestigious Sculpture artist and professor, Gabriela Adoc.
Cornel started the study and practice of icon painting in the 80's,
first as a self taught artist, and later on,
together with other renown Romanian artists and icon makers.
His works are presently part of, and displayed in private collections
in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, US, and Romania.
The exclusively manual execution of these handicraft works,
gain a more artistic value due to the fact that each pattern has
a specific detail and uniqueness,
regardless of how many are being produced.
Thus, the manually produced icons will vary in size,
having the following tolerances:
1-5mm ( + or - ) in thickness, 1-10mm (+ or -) in width and/or height.
The same icons can be produced, depending on the individual requests,
in various sizes, from 7"/9.5" to 8.5"/11.5.
Woodenicon handicraft works are in high demand,
and are available to collectors of fine art, students of Byzantine art, and to all of you,
who are appreciative of the built-in value of such icons.
Please feel free to contact woodenicon.com with your inquiries
about Byzantine decorative handicraft art, details and/or orders.
